Materials Selection Package

During your new build or renovation project you will be required to select materials and finishes. There are so many decisions to make and there are so many choices!

It can be (and often is) very overwhelming and stressful. For some clients this is an easy process and they are happy to go it alone, however some prefer the help of an expert. This package is the perfect solution.

The materials you select are key to creating a cohesive and beautiful design that impacts how you feel in your home. The right selections can improve the quality of your life and your overall happiness. And there are so many choices which can sometimes be overwhelming.

We help you by providing guidance and reducing the overwhelm, when making your selections. We will assist you with guidance in making selections that work cohesively throughout your home. This is ultimately enhance your lifestyle, reflect your personality, express your individual style and work within your budget.

We provide fixed price quotations tailored to your project.
Quotations vary depending on the size and complexity of the project
25% deposit is required prior to commencement of work

How the materials selection process works and what's involved.

Initial
Consulation

This initial meeting gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and for me to understand your vision. And the beautiful process beings. We will discuss what is involve in your project and any ideas you have.

To us Interior design and material selections are about more than making things look pretty — the materials you select are key to creating a cohesive and beautiful design that impacts how you feel in your home. The right selections can improve the quality of your life and your overall happiness.

Fixed Price Quotation

After the initial consultation I will have an understanding of what will be required of my time in your project and from there be able to calculate the hours required.

This quotation will be based on an hourly rate, a 50% deposit will be required to move forward, with the remaining 50% due upon presentation of your schedule.

Then the design process begins!

Selection Consultation

We will engage in various meetings with suppliers to select your fittings and fixtures.

During these meetings, we will meet with trade experts to make knowledgeable decisions of your hard finishes.

3 separate meetings are included in your quotation, any additional meetings will incur a fee.

Design Presentation

Once we have made our decisions, I will compile our selections into a presentation.

This includes:

mood boards,
perspective drawings
samples
fixtures and fittings schedule

Next step: We will then be able to send this schedule to your builder and wait for your vision to come to life.

How long will our build take?

Every build varies depending on the size of your project. A new build is typically 9-12months from starting construction. Prior to this we aim to have our trades booked in and permits approved to avoid delays.
Can we take on your project after you already have plans?

Ideally, we are involved in your planning and design process, however we may be willing to take on your project. In particular these last few years we have seen the price of materials and trades increase, unfortunately we have found people are coming to us with their budget and unrealistic designs for this budget. Therefore, we are having to spend a lot of unpaid time redesigning clients houses to fit within this budget. Our aim of having a multi-disciplinary team is to achieve the desired designs more accurately within your budget.
Can you choose our own architect?

Yes. We have a few architects we work closely with, however are happy to expand our collaboration.
